MY APPROACH

My approach to coaching is inspired by the Internal Family System (IFS) and Focusing.

It starts with the principle that inside us, we have all the necessary qualities to live through the complex situations we experience in our life. The difficulties we encounter are caused by parts of us that block access to these qualities.

Most coaching approaches offer to help their clients acquire these qualities - being more disciplined, knowing how to set boundaries, having more self-esteem, having empathy, being more focused, knowing how to control one's emotions, being more resilient, etc. - based on the principle that, in a certain way, humans are deficient and that they must acquire what they lack (often through will and practice). I call this approach “self-improvement.”

In the approach that I believe in and use, instead of looking outward for qualities you believe you lack, you turn your attention inward and shed light on what blocks access to your innate resources to understand and release these blockages. This release will enable you to access and express the infinite resources that lie within you and regain full possession of your wholeness. I call this approach “self-unfoldment”

I give more context to the difference between these 2 approaches here.

Each obstacle that we encounter is a situation in which one of our qualities of Being is blocked and an opportunity to bring it out within us...
